The plant material in your yard will help hide un-attractive views, buffer noise and help cool your yard. In addition to being a functional beautiful part of your landscape, using native plants will attract birds, butterflies and other creatures to your yard replacing habitat that was lost during construction and provide endless hours of entertainment. In addition to giving Mother Nature a hand, many of these native species can be considered to be low water demand plants. This means once established, they will require little or no additional water. With the extremes of weather we have been experiencing these last few years, this translates into as carefree a garden as possible.
